We focus on understanding the mechanisms underlying fish behavior and its ramifications to the ecology and well-being of fishes as well as control of invasive species. Pheromones, chemical signals that pass between members of the same species, are of special interest and we are a leading center for such work. The common carp is an important model and we study it in the field and laboratory. We invite you to explore the many facets of our studies in this web site and/or contact us with questions.
